Big Man

ARNOLD RAYMUND VAN OPSTAL

Who is he? Ordinary people might say he's a La Salle player carrying number 7. While I said, he is the big man goofing around the hard core digging some hoops. His position in their team is Center*.
[Center is also known the 'post' of the game. It is normally the tallest and strongest among all.] With a great height of 6'9" and 205 Lbs, AVO (Arnold Van Opstal) is the perfect fit in that position.

Aside from basketball, Arnold Van Opstal do some  modeling in Chalk  and in Cosmo.

Cute Point Guard

When it comes to basketball players, most will eventually think that they're boastful, snob and everything. But Thomas Christopher Torres can prove them wrong. Thomas is a great player with a great goal to achieve. Not to mention his perseverance and determination to win every single of their game. He's playing as if it was the last game they're playing.

Together with De La Salle Green Archers, Thomas can improve his skills and academics. Did you know that he's a scholar of DLSU? He's from La Salle Greenhills and now continuing his La Salle journey.

Moving on, he is La Salle's point guard and has a height of 5'8" and 150 lbs. His playing year is now 3rd (almost half of the exceeding year).

King Archer

Before La Salle's fourth game against other university, lemme first introduce their 'King Archer' *drum roll* PRESENTING, DLSU's KING ARCHER, JERON ALVIN TENG! *applause*

"Who is he?"
"Is he that skillful?"
"Is he gwapo or something?"
"Green Archers's captain ball?"

Well, to answer all of your questions... ... ... please continue reading...
Jeron Alvin Teng is simply a BSM-MKT of De La Salle University. He met the world last March 21, 1994 made possible by Alvin and Susan Teng and the youngest among four siblings namely Alyssa, Almira and Jeric Teng.

Jeron;s listed height: 6 ft 2 in (1.88m)
While his weight: 175 lbs (79kg)

He was the rookie of the year and one of the mythical five during season 75. While during season 76 was the Final MVP of the year.

DLSU-UE

DLSU played defensively over UE to snatch the score of 58-60. Their second elimination round is quite a long one because of those defensive fouls they've committed. Jeron Teng stand-out winning the player of the game by 18 points.

UE's players Chris Javier and Shej Roi Sumang.

DLSU's Jason Perkins and UE's Mark Olayon.

Coach Juno wasn't that contented with their winning 'coz most of his players (Arnold Van Opstal and Jason Perkins) was out by the referee because of their technical fouls.
That's all for tonight :))

DLSU-NU

After the two consecutive loses, Coach Juno finally decided to huddle up with his team and think of their new strategies.Since their point guard, Thomas Torres, wasn't able to join them caused by the sprained right ankle. He needs to leave Big dome for his medication. Meanwhile, DLSU's starting five didn't change that much except for LA Revilla replacing Thomas' position.
DLSU's third match was against NU Bulldogs with their starting five: Gelo Alolino, Kyle Neypes, Bobby Ray Parks, Emmanuel Mbe and Dennice Villamor.

Jason Perkins attempt to lift DLSU

Robert Bolick's substitution during the 2nd quarter

This makes 1-2 for DLSU first 3 games which means that they need to lift their team higher for them to be able make it in elimination rounds. DLSU was ahead by 2 points in their final score of 55-57. Jason Perkins made it to the top being called the player of the game.

DLSU-ADMU

Last July 19, as I was browsing our television (other channels are boring kasi), my jaw dropped when I saw DLSU's second game with their rival, Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU). I immediately ran to our kitchen to prepare myself a popcorn while watching their intense game. They didn't fail me tho. Hihi
Thomas Torres (Green) and Nico Elorde (Blue)

Kiefer Ravena (Blue) and Arnold Van Opstal (Green)

Even though I only catch their 3rd set, I did finish watching it. :) ADMU's starting five were Kiefer Ravena #15, Alfonso Gotladera #16, Nico Elorde #4, Chris Newsome #11, and Vincent Tolentino #5. While DLSU's starting fiv were Jeron Teng#21, Thomas Torres#18, Arnold Van Opstal#7, Almond Vosotros#17, and Jason Perkins#10.

At the end of the game, still, it's a battle for DLSU to chase because they've lose another game. Coach Juno Sauler's mantra for La Salle during the game was "Just keep pushing (ooops) shooting"

Result:
97-86 all in favor of Blue Eagles. With their player of the game, Alfonso 'Golden boy' Gotladera.

DLSU-FEU

Since I'm an avid fan of DLSU Green Archers, I had my observation during their game (well, I'm only watching) La Salle's first basketball game against FEU was last July 12 held at Araneta (4PM-6PM). I wasn't kinda ready to accept their... well... losing game it's because... you know... it was my first time seeing them play. But it's okay. Life wouldn't be complete without any trials.

Here are some of the pics during their game. First pic includes Arnold Van Opstal (DLSU #7), Thomas Torres (DLSU #18), Jason Perkins (DLSU #10) with Cris Tolomia (FEU #13). While second picture includes Cris Tolomia (FEU #13), Carl Bryan Cruz (FEU #4), with Jason Perkins (DLSU #10) holding the ball.

The New Captain

Victonara "ARA" Galang used to be the rookie of Dela Salle University since Season 75. Her spiking skills and defensive attacks highlight her inside the court. She's from Angeles City and a proud scholar of DLSU. She's now known as the new captain ball for their team 'Lady Spikers' for volleyball division.

This picture was taken two years ago when they won the championship against ADMU.
